So, we needed the whole 2.5 hours before boarding our flight to Zhangjiajie today.
We checked out of the hotel, and found our taxi at 3:30 am this morning. With hardly any traffic we made it to the airport by 4am. Lots of time, right? Nope, just the right amount of time to:
-pre-weigh our bags, adjust what was in our carry-on versus checked luggage, so we could make the 20 kg domestic flight weight limit without extra charges
-find the right check-in line, and keep our spot in line when the other passengers try to move forward, in front of us
-check-in!
-drink/empty the water from our water bottles
-find the security line, unpack our over-stuffed carry-on bags which are full of batteries, coins, computer's, cameras,...
-find a bank machine
-find water fountain to refill our water bottles
-find our gate
-eat our hotel-packed breakfast
-board!
And now we are waiting at the gate in Changsha for the second flight to Zhangjiajie, where we will meet Laura
