Day 2!


After a good breakfast at the hotel today, we were picked up by Baixuan and Peter, and took the subway to the Lama Temple (also known as the Yonghe Lamasery).





Below is a mandala made completely out of sand!!


26m tall statue of Maitreya carved out of a single piece of sandalwood. 









Below is now the Confucius Temple and Imperial College (Guozijian).



A school group was there!







Peking duck for lunch!!
